Night airstrikes in Gaza kill 33 people

At least 33 Palestinians, including eight children and 10 women, were killed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza on Sunday morning local time, according to Ashraf al-Qudra, a spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
The Israeli airstrike comes after the Al-Qassam Brigades, the militant wing of Hamas, said they fired "dozens" of rockets at Tel Aviv and Ashdod early Sunday local time after a two-hour break.
At least 50 people have also been injured in the airstrikes, most of them women and children, al-Qudra said.

Netanyahu: Israel will continue to "respond vigorously" in Gaza

The Qatari-owned Al Jazeera network strongly condemned the Israeli airstrike that destroyed its offices in Gaza on Saturday, saying it was a "clear act" to prevent journalists from reporting on the events in the Gaza Strip.

139 people have died in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health

At least 139 Palestinians have died in the Gaza Strip following the Israeli bombardment, including 39 children, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said in a statement on Friday.
The number of Palestinians wounded in Gaza also increased and so far there are at least 1,000, the Health Ministry added.
Ashraf al-Qudra, a spokesman for the Gaza Health Ministry, urged "the international community on the need to stop Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip."
"We monitor these violations against Palestinian families, and this is a flagrant violation," al-Qurda said in the statement from the Ministry of Health.
However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have said that its operation against Gaza is focused on dismantling an underground network of tunnels where Hamas houses its strike capabilities and houses high-ranking members of the organization.
“Today is Shabbat, the day of rest, but people living in southern Israel have not had the opportunity to do so.

Las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) dijeron que realizaron una serie de ataques contra lo que calificaron como “edificios estratégicos”, que resultaron en la “eliminación” de un número de terroristas del movimiento político islamista Hamas.
En un comunicado emitido el jueves temprano en hora local, las FDI dijeron que, en las últimas horas, aviones de combates y aeronaves de las FDI atacaron varios edificios significativos desde el punto de vista estratégico que pertenecen a Hamas, así como a un escuadrón de la fuerza naval de Hamas.
«Entre los edificios atacados estaba el principal banco de la organización terrorista Hamas. Además se atacó infraestructura de contrainteligencia dentro de los edificios del aparato de seguridad interna de Hamas», según el comunicado.

A third person was killed Tuesday night after a rocket attack in the city of Rishon Lezion, south of Tel Aviv, Israeli media reported citing emergency service ZAKA.
A CNN crew heard at least 50 explosions in a coastal town near Gaza.
Rockets were also reported in the city of Ashdod.
At least 17 Israeli civilians have been treated for injuries caused by the rocket attacks, according to the army.

The collapse of a 13-story building in Gaza
A 13-story building in Gaza collapsed Tuesday night after an Israeli airstrike, prompting members of the Islamist political movement Hamas to vow to retaliate.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported in a statement that the building had offices used by Hamas on several floors.
These included the intelligence offices of the military wing and a research and development unit that worked on rockets.

They also said that they gave advance notice to the civilians in the building and gave them "enough time to evacuate the place".
There are reports that a person on a nearby street was injured in the collapse.
Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad promised to retaliate by firing rockets at Tel Aviv.
Shortly before 9 pm local time (2 pm Miami time) the sirens sounded in the city and nearby towns.
The Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, later said they had fired 130 rockets at Tel Aviv.
Seven people, including a 5-year-old boy, were injured when a rocket hit a bus in Holon, south of Tel Avib, according to Israeli media.

In the past two days, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad in Gaza have fired at least 500 rockets at Israel, forcing the closure of the country's main international airport, Ben Gurion, located about ten miles east of Tel Aviv.
The militants say it is in response to the actions of the Israeli police, who fired stun grenades inside the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, one of the holiest places in the city, on Monday morning.
The Israeli army carried out more than 150 attacks in Gaza as of Tuesday afternoon, according to a military spokesman.
This spokesperson reported that Israel also called 5,000 reserve soldiers to active duty to "upgrade" its operation in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli Arab citizens demonstrated Monday night and Tuesday in the streets of various Israeli cities and towns, including Haifa and Lod, in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza and Jerusalem.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), seven rockets were fired from Gaza and one launch was intercepted.

An anti-tank missile was fired from Gaza at a car in the nearby Israeli city of Sderot, the IDF says, causing minor injuries to a civilian in the car, who was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Hamas has already claimed responsibility.
