Clemente Castañeda, national coordinator of Movimiento Ciudadano, the opposition party to Andrés Manuel López Obrador, affirms that the active participation of the president of Mexico in the electoral process generates political friction and uncertainty, since, according to him, it is not normal for the president of turn to rule on the elections.
Castañeda thinks that the president's motivation arises from the low chances that his party and allies will prevail in some localities.
