Information Minister Imad Sarah confirmed that the Syrian citizen is attached to his land and homeland and does not allow anyone to encroach on his sovereignty, and that the flow of citizens to electoral centers to cast their votes in the presidential elections in the governorates, which we have previously seen in many Syrian embassies in the world, confirms the love of the Syrian citizen for the soil of his homeland as well as the depth of his affiliation. In a statement to reporters at the Media Center at the Ministry of Information, Minister Sarah indicated that the intensity of Syrians casting their votes in the ballot boxes bears many national and political meanings and connotations, adding that “the citizen said his word with the failure of attempts to influence his will and his convictions, such as attempts to intimidate, mislead and starve through terrorism or through procedures. Economic coercive and the so-called Caesar Act imposed on him ”.
In response to a question about the services provided by the media center, the Minister of Information clarified that the number of press correspondents who asked to keep up with the elections and came to Syria reached 125 people from many countries, including the United States, Russia, Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Denmark and Austria, in addition to the correspondents in Syria and previously accredited The Ministry of Information, who represent Western media, as the number of these agencies in Syria reached 65, represented by 165 media professionals, with a total of about 290 media professionals covering and accompanying the presidential elections in Syria.
The Minister of Information confirmed that the Ministry had provided in the Media Center all logistical services to facilitate the work of Arab and foreign journalists, and their movements were facilitated, indicating that what is required only from these correspondents is professionalism, credibility, and the transmission of the true image as transmitted by the national media.
