A member of the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections, Judge Mukhlis Qaisiya, confirmed that the judicial subcommittees in the various governorates began their work at half past six in the morning, as ballot boxes were opened to ensure that they are vacant in front of the candidates' agents and the media, then closed and the election process started at seven o'clock in the morning.
Qaisiya added in a statement to SANA that since the first minutes of the opening of the electoral centers in the governorates and the start of the election process, we have witnessed a massive turnout of citizens to participate in this constitutional entitlement, which indicates the Syrians' love for their homeland and their insistence on participating in building the future of Syria.
Qaisiya pointed out that the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections is following up the work of the sub-committees in a timely manner, and is present at its headquarters in Damascus, receiving communications and inquiries, and working to ensure the conduct of the electoral process in accordance with the constitution and the general election law.
