Peißenberg's children and young people don't have to fear boredom during the summer holidays: Despite the corona pandemic, the market town has put together a diverse holiday program with almost 30 individual offers.

Peißenberg - “We weren't sure for a long time whether it was possible.

The question kept us and the clubs busy, ”admits Mayor Frank Zellner when he reports on the preparatory phase for putting together the holiday program for 2021.

But when the corona incidence figures also showed a downward trend in the district, the green light was given in the town hall.

Everything "had to go faster" this year

Marie-Sophie Strodl began putting together a program under the motto "Hurray Holidays - let's go!"

The employee in the mayor's office launched a call to local associations and institutions and coordinated their willingness to participate.

Due to the shorter lead time, everything “had to go a little faster” this year, says Strodl: “The effort wasn't that small.” But the efforts have paid off According to Zellner, “great and interesting things” are among the almost 30 offers.

Strodl is also convinced: “The holiday program is sure to be well received.

There is something for every age group. "

Youth Red Cross Weilheim-Peißenberg is particularly active again this year

It starts on August 2nd with “homemade natural cosmetics” at the Wieshof in Marnbach and a “farm afternoon” with the Bader family (Ammerhöfe 7).

The five-day “handball camp” in the Glückauf gym also starts that day.

This is followed by a day of visits to the Eberfinger observatory, a beaver tour at the Haarsee, an adventure afternoon at the Bockerlbahn on the Tiefstollen and much more.

The youth red cross Weilheim-Peißenberg is particularly active this year.

The young paramedics offer, among other things, creative workshops, a night hike, a tent camp and a “horrible walk”.

There will also be a bike rally in and around Peißenberg during the entire holiday program.

In addition, the Peißenberg model railroad fans invite you to visit their club complex in the cellar of the Josef Lindauer House.

And in the community library the kids can read and rate books under the motto “Reading - what's going on ?!”.

Registrations are still possible for a short time

Incidentally, the mayor will have to take at least one day off in August.

Zellner's younger daughter has already registered that she wants to take part in the horse adventure day and the pony workshop in Rott.

"I will probably be able to lead ponies there," speculates Zellner with a smile.

Registration for the holiday program is still possible until Friday, July 16 - by email to the address poststelle@peissenberg.de or by traditional post to the town hall administration (Markt Peißenberg, Hauptstraße 77, 82380 Peißenberg). Further details on the holiday events and the current program are available at www.peissenberg.de or at the town hall gate. In Corona times, contacts should be avoided: "In addition, the parents are not bound by the opening times in the town hall," explains Strodl.
