The deputies voted in committee on Tuesday evening July 20 for a postponement to the end of September of the implementation of the health pass for 12-17 year olds.
The measure could be discussed again on Wednesday during the examination of the health bill in the hemicycle.
The government had already exempted 12-17 year olds from the health pass until August 30.
The deputies supported in the law committee an amendment of the LREM Guillaume Gouffier Cha.
"Vaccination has only been open for them since June 15,"
he insisted to justify the postponement of one month.

Some members of the majority, starting with the president of the Laws Commission Yaël Braun-Pivet, wanted to go further by completely exempting minors from health passes (certificate of vaccination, recovery or negative test for Covid).
