The spike in morbidity continues - will the vaccination campaign be expanded?
Over 4,048 infected were diagnosed from midnight to 5pm today (Thursday).

Yesterday (between midnight and midnight) 5,991 infections were diagnosed.
The number of serious patients continues to grow at an alarming rate and stands at 445 - the most since mid-March.
By midnight, 96 patients were in critical condition.
The positive rate yesterday was 4.61% and 131,575 tests were performed.
Meanwhile, a joint statement from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Internal Security stated that 2,063 reports were issued by the Israel Police yesterday.
According to the announcement, following the directive of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to significantly increase enforcement for not wearing masks and violating isolation, the Minister of Internal Security, Amar Bar-Lev, ordered an increased enforcement operation, throughout the country.
64 reports were distributed for breach of isolation; breach of the green mark - 72 and non-wearing of a mask - 1,927.
It was further stated that "the enforcement operation will continue as required, in order to comply with the decisions of the political echelon and maintain public health."
Meanwhile, the epidemic management team is meeting tonight to discuss whether to extend the third-dose vaccination campaign for those under 60.
This, following Prime Minister Bennett's instruction earlier to the HMOs to prepare for the expansion of the vaccination campaign.
