All about Almodóvar's next film 2:20
(CNN Spanish) -
Instagram has apologized for removing the poster from its platform of Pedro Almodóvar's most recent film, "Parallel Mothers."
On Wednesday, August 11, the parent company of Instagram, Facebook, acknowledged in a statement that the decision to remove the image of the poster of the film from the social network was based on its policies against nudity.
The poster shows the image of a nursing nipple framed in an oval with a red background that gives it the appearance of being a crying eye.
After the image was removed from their networks, the poster designer, Javier Jaen, criticized Instagram's decision.
The artist wrote: "As expected @instagram has removed the poster we made for Almodóvar's latest movie #madresparalelas. I will post it again. Thanks for sharing."
