The area along the southern bank between rescue points 2 and 3 was searched with snorkel swimmers and divers.
A police helicopter with a thermal imaging camera was also in use.
The THW Dachau supported the search with a sonar device.
A possible find ultimately turned out to be a piece of guardrail on the bottom of the lake.
The search was initially interrupted at 0.40 a.m.

Early on Sunday morning, the drone team from the Fürstenfeldbruck water rescue service searched the lake between the south bank and the bathing island from the air, but without success.
Then the two divers found - pulled by a boat with a so-called tow bar - found the body of the 50-year-old.
After consulting the police, the body was recovered by the water rescue service and handed over to forensic medicine.
The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal investigation department has started the investigation.
