Everton's Mistake: A Picture Of Anne Frank In A Video In Memory Of Fans Who Died Of Corona | Israel today

2021-08-15T06:49:23.244Z

The English Football Club released a video in memory of the team's fans who died during the Corona plague, but accidentally added a picture of the Jewish girl who was murdered in the Holocaust

A mistake not to make.

A tweet published yesterday by the English football team Everton in memory of the team's fans who died in the Corona plague, also accidentally attached a picture of Anne Frank, the Jewish girl who was murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust.

Seriously though, why include Anne Frank?

"We lost far too many Everton fans during the plague. I wish they could be with us here today. Their memory will be blessed," the group said in a tweet, to which a video with photos of the victims was attached.

After a number of viewers in the video recognized the picture of Anne Frank, the video was deleted, and in its place one was corrected without Frank's picture.

Apparently the picture of Anne Frank was inserted into the video as part of a joke or trolling attempt by one of the surfers, who sent the picture of the girl to Everton's system.

The group asked the fans to send the photos of the victims and their names to the system for the purpose of creating the video.

Today was all about you.

Those reunited with us at Goodison, but sadly also those that could not be there who we have lost over the course of the pandemic.

RIP Blues.
