When the vehicle arrived at its terminus, at the Sartrouville RER station, a police patrol was waiting for them.

The young woman confirmed to the police that an individual had harassed her and that he had rubbed shoulders with her.

The 32-year-old man was immediately arrested and taken into custody for sexual assault on a vulnerable person.

It is not yet known whether it is already known to the police for similar facts.

Other cases reported this year

Several cases of sexual assault on public transport in Île-de-France have been reported this year.

Last June, two men were arrested for sexual assault in transport the same day in Yvelines.

The first had shown his sex to a young woman of 19 in the train of line N between Paris-Montparnasse and Rambouillet.

The second had masturbated and had offered sex to a 16-year-old minor in a bus in Les Mureaux.

The fifty-year-old could have been caught in the act after colliding with a plainclothes policeman.
