The Ministry of Tourism recently granted a tourist rehabilitation license for a new tourist facility in As-Suwayda Governorate, at an investment cost of about 900 million pounds.

As-Suwayda Tourism Director Yarub Al-Arbeed told SANA that the facility, which is located in the town of Rasas, consists of a swimming pool and its annexes, terraces, family sessions, and a multi-purpose two-star cafeteria with a capacity of 750 chairs.

Al-Arbeed pointed out that the Tourism Registry Secretariat in the Directorate of Tourism in As-Suwayda also issued the new tourist registry for this newly licensed tourist facility, pointing to the demand by investors and expatriates to implement tourism projects in the governorate due to its elements of tourist attractions.

The Director of Tourism also pointed out that the number of tourism projects under licensing and which work is being done to grant tourist acclaim licenses is 4 projects whose papers are being duly prepared for study after obtaining the approval of the Resolution 452 Committee for the year 2020, in addition to 3 projects whose papers are prepared after obtaining the necessary approvals, in addition to the presence of 5 tourism projects are currently being studied by the directorate after inspections have been carried out by the technical committees to grant them tourist rehabilitation licenses in the near future, and they vary between restaurants and cafes.

It is worth noting that the number of tourism projects invested and put into service and projects that are under implementation in As-Suwayda Governorate increased from 77 projects in 2017 to 96 projects to date, at a cost of more than 52 billion pounds, according to the approved financial values ​​for 2009.
