The migratory waves towards the United States and from Latin America have resumed since January 2021 and continue to grow.
If the Covid-19 pandemic slowed down the movement of people on the continent for a time, it also caused an economic crisis and deprived the most precarious of work, particularly informal workers, while growth resumed in the United States and that there is a shortage of labor.
The situation has been particularly worrying on the border between Panama and Colombia for several months.
