It was just before the arrival of Alberto Fernández and Governor Axel Kicillof to a vaccination center in La Plata that the members of the presidential custody detected
a woman with a knife
at her waist.
After an alert to the Buenos Aires Police, the woman was
detained
preventively.
According to sources consulted by
Clarín
, the delayed woman, who was identified as Nora Peralta, 62, claimed that she was carrying the knife as
"personal defense
.

The truth is that they were not moments of calm that were lived this Wednesday at noon in the surroundings of
the Elina de La Serna Specialized Subzonal Hospital
, located at 8, between 41 and 42, just before the President and the Buenos Aires governor arrived to visit a vaccination center.
The knife of the woman waiting for the President has a blade 15 centimeters long.
The sources explained that the police officers affected by the operation were
alerted by personnel from the
President's
custody
.
They were told that there was a woman at the scene who was
armed with a knife
.
"There was a person who was outside (the vaccination center) with a knife, but it was not to attack him (the President)," the sources said;
and they added that, "preventively, it was delayed" due
to an illegal investigation
at the 2nd police station in La Plata.
The knife carried by this woman, who is a pensioner and lives in La Plata, is of the Stainless brand, with a wooden handle and
a blade about 15 centimeters
long.
Hectic day
The presidential visit to the La Plata vaccination center with Kicillof was on the afternoon of this Wednesday, a tour after the presence of both in the Unique Stadium of La Plata, renamed Diego Armando Maradona, in the plenary session of the Frente de Todos, where Fernández and his vice Cristina Kirchner were the main speakers of the party act.
