A missile attack today targeted a US military base in southern Iraq, near the border with Kuwait.
Alsumaria news website quoted an Iraqi security source as saying that explosions were heard within the Safwan district in Basra governorate, as a result of "two missiles targeting the vicinity of the American military base at the Jerashan border crossing with the State of Kuwait."
The source added that "a third missile crossed the base towards Kuwaiti territory."
And American bases in various parts of Iraq have been subjected to several attacks recently.
