A week before PASO,

more than 6 million people qualified to vote have not yet been vaccinated and another 12 million are still waiting for the second dose

.

Thus, more than half of the population in a position to pay has not yet completed their vaccination schedule.

Of the 34,332,992 people who are authorized to vote in the country according to the calculations of the National Electoral Chamber, a total of

18,173,176 are awaiting either the first or the second dose

This is 53% of the population over 16 years of age.

According to data from the Public Vaccination Monitor of the Ministry of Health,

16,159,816 people received both doses in the country

But in addition, there is still a significant portion of people who will vote on Sunday 12 who have not been vaccinated, because they did not accept to apply a dose against Covid-19 or because, open vaccination, they were not located to do so.

That sector of the population that has not yet received even a puncture is larger, in proportion, than expected.

The universe of people from Cordoba who could vote on Sunday and who have never received the vaccine yet exceeds 600,000.

Santa Fe

has 2,768,525 people who can pay.

But there are 2,333,868 that have a dose.

Thus, the population that has not yet been reached by the vaccine exceeds 400,000.

Mendoza

, the fifth province with the most population, vaccinated 1,183,924 people with a dose, but its authorized to vote are 1,439,163.

Those not immunized exceed 250,000.

Taking into account that of the six million possible voters who have not yet been vaccinated throughout the country, almost 3.5 million are from the provinces with the most population, the rest are in the other 19 districts that make up the national map.

As for the

population that did not receive two doses, they exceed 18 million people

(there are those six million who did not receive even a vaccine).

Although the Government plans to accelerate applications during the latter, at most half of the electoral population will be fully vaccinated by Sunday.

The province of Buenos Aires is also the one that concentrates the largest number of people without two doses: 5,953,638 were given. That implies that there are more than 6.7 million Buenos Aires qualified to vote on Sunday who have not yet received the second vaccine.
