Minister Miqdad meets representatives of the Syrian community in Cairo

Cairo, SANA- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates met Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad while he was passing through Cairo on the way back

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, while passing through Cairo on his way back from New York to Damascus, met with representatives of the Syrian community of industrialists and businessmen in Egypt, where they discussed easy ways to implement the Syrian government’s direction to resettle some Syrian investments within a plan consistent with the new investment law and the investment plan .

Minister Miqdad explained the general situation in Syria, especially the important achievements made in restoring security and stability to most parts of the country and the disastrous effects that unilateral sanctions had on the conditions of Syrian citizens, calling on Syrian expatriates everywhere to participate in putting an end to these inhumane measures.

Dr. Miqdad also explained the content of the law and the measures taken by the government to encourage Syrian investors to contribute to the country's reconstruction in ways that guarantee the national interest and the interests of investors.

Minister Miqdad also listened to the visions and proposals presented by the representatives of the community and promised the ministry's cooperation in the framework of removing obstacles and contributing to creating an atmosphere of transparency and following up on the topics discussed previously, by forming a delegation to visit Syria to follow up on all the topics that concern the stages of completing a road map for the resettlement of those investments.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, Head of Mission, Ambassador Dr. Bassam Darwish, and Dr. Abdullah Hallaq, Director of the Private Office Department.
