Payment deadline: large groups soon degraded

Next year, the 2021 accounts of the 3,000 companies in good financial health will be subject to increased vigilance.


As a consequence of the bad behavior observed at the height of the health crisis in terms of inter-company payment terms, the Banque de France will step up its action on the subject.

While SMEs and mid-cap companies have made efforts, this is not the case for large companies.

From next year, the 2021 accounts of the 3,000 companies in good financial health, that is to say listed between codes 3 ++ and 4+, will be subject to increased vigilance.

"The cash that companies accumulate or would accumulate by excessively deferring the payment of their supplier debts is not really available cash",
