Sabbagh: Syria rejects any outside interference in the work of the constitutional discussion committee

Syria's permanent representative to the United Nations, Bassam Sabbagh, reiterated Syria's rejection of any outside interference in the work of the committee to discuss the constitution or attempt to impose artificial timetables and pre-summaries for its work, stressing that the constitution and everything related to it is a Syrian-Syrian affair to be decided by the Syrians themselves.

Sabbagh said: that Syria continued its cooperation with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General Geir Pedersen and welcomed his visit to Damascus on the 11th and 12th of this month, where he held constructive discussions. He stressed the need for the Special Envoy to maintain his role as a facilitator and to report what is happening in an impartial, impartial and objective manner.

The Syrian state represented in the presence of the American occupation forces in northeastern Syria and the Turkish occupation forces in its northwest in full, lifting the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the United States and the European Union, and supporting the efforts of the Syrian state and its allies in combating terrorism, restoring security and stability, and rebuilding and restoring damaged infrastructure.

The permanent representative of Syria to the United Nations pointed to the need to start early recovery projects and support resilience and strengthen them in quantity and quality in various sectors, especially water, energy, education, health care and others, in a way that contributes to providing basic services to Syrians and improving their living and humanitarian situation, in addition to facilitating the return of displaced persons and refugees to their areas, indicating that To this end, the various concerned authorities are working diligently and continuously in order to facilitate the return process and secure the basic requirements of the returnees.
