A 58-year-old driver was seriously injured in a collision with another car on Friday evening.
As the police announced, the man wanted to pass an intersection near Grün with his car Wilhelmshaven.
In front of him, however, the traffic was apparently jammed, so that the traffic light turned red and the 58-year-old was still standing at the intersection.
Wilhelmshaven - A 41-year-old, who was now green, drove his car to the intersection and there was a collision.
The 58-year-old was trapped in his vehicle in the accident and, according to the city, had to be rescued by the fire brigade.
He was taken to the hospital seriously injured.
The 41-year-old driver of the other car was slightly injured and was taken care of by the emergency services on site.
