During the Hanukkah holiday, the IDF will open the site of the Yarmouk Tunnel of the Higazi Railway on the Jordanian border for visitors.
The site of the Yarmouk Railway Tunnel site is a historic site, located in a closed military area beyond the border fence in Israeli territory adjacent to the Yarmouk to the north.
In place of remains are the railway tracks from Haifa to Deraa, designed by a German engineer and built by the Turks in the years 1903-1900.
The tunnel is about 200 meters long and is hewn in the mountain.
Since the train ceased in 1946, the tunnel has become a colony of bats.

The move was initiated by the commander of the Bashan formation, Col. Ahsan Dexa. In recent years, it has been possible to bring groups to the place every few months and in coordination with the army.
Livna Shalev, training director at Sde Keshet Yehonatan School: "The site is open to the general public. It is a route for the well-traveled. I expect people from all over the country to come. The valley railway - the Higazi is an impressive heritage site in its beauty."
