So far, the authorities continue to investigate the incident, so few details are still known about it.

According to the official version of the state FGJ and some statements made by the father of Octavio Ocaña (positions that collide with each other), this is what we know about the death of the "Neighbors" actor.

What happened?

The State Prosecutor's Office indicated that Octavio Ocaña died of a shot to the head and that his body was found inside the truck he was driving.

The vehicle crashed on the Chamapa-Lechería highway, at the height of the Prados Iztacala neighborhood, in the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza.

Two people accompanied Ocaña in the truck.

The state FGJ pointed out that, after giving their testimony, both people said that municipal police officers stopped them when they were traveling in the vehicle through the streets of the municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli, on the afternoon of Friday, October 29.

The driver, who was Ocaña, did not stop, he accelerated and this started a chase, according to the two testimonies collected by the Prosecutor's Office.

Pursuit and firearm

In the midst of the persecution, the Prosecutor's Office commented, in what so far is the only statement it has issued on the case, Ocaña would have lost control of the truck, which caused it to crash on the side of the road.

The authorities commented that, after the truck crashed, they found Octavio Ocaña "with a firearm injury to the head and the two companions were seized by elements of the municipal police."

One of the people in the truck stated that Ocaña had a firearm, which he took from the vehicle's glove compartment.

However, the Prosecutor's Office mentioned, the companions and the municipal police say that there was no exchange of shots.

Who were the two people who accompanied Octavio Ocaña?

The state FGJ added that the two companions indicated that they had known Ocaña for several years and that in recent days they had been consuming alcohol with him.

For his part, Octavio Pérez, the father of the late Octavio Ocaña, spoke to the press on Saturday outside the wake and, when questioned about the companions of the vehicle, assured that his son had the confidence that he had hired.

What else did Octavio Ocaña's father say?

Octavio Pérez said he was devastated by the death of his son and commented that he was someone who had no enemies.

In addition, he affirmed that his wish is that the body of his son be taken this Sunday to Tabasco since that is where the family comes from.

Likewise, it indicated that the versions that it was an attempted theft of the truck in which they were traveling are not true.

Other authorities

CNN tried to communicate with the Cuautitlan Izcallí Police - a municipality where Octavio Ocaña and his companions were traveling when they were supposedly stopped - but the institution said it had no further details of the case at the moment.

The municipal government of Cuautitlan Izcallí said in a statement that it works together with the state's FGJ "with the aim of not creating speculation and letting the investigations carried out by the competent authorities define responsibilities."

"After the unfortunate events, we will collaborate at all times because our function is to safeguard the lives of Izcallenses and all those who pass through the demarcation, so we will be respectful of the investigations so as not to hinder the work of the Prosecutor's Office", added the municipal government.
