European travel agencies have announced the resumption of organizing tourist trips to Syria after stopping for about ten years due to the terrorist war that was launched against it.
The Voice of Germany, "Deutsche Welle", reported on its website that many companies began publishing advertisements about organizing tourist trips to Syria, including the Berlin-based "Soviet Tours" company, which announced the organization of trips to Syria next year under the title "A visit to the cities of ancient religions and cultures." The German radio clarified that the trips to Syria come as an encouragement from European travel agencies to communicate between cultures, as these agencies believe that the destinations and visit sites that include markets for distinctive handicrafts, houses of worship with amazing architectural style, historical castles, in addition to the scenic landscapes are all places worth visiting despite what has been presented. And Deutsche Welle radio confirmed that German travel agencies were not the only ones to announce organizing trips to Syria, as the British “Lupin Travel” company recently added tours to Syria organized in 2022, and the British “Untimed Borders” company has promoted trips to Syria as well.
The Paris-based “Cleo” company specialized in cultural tourism, which was one of the first European companies that started promoting its trips to Syria in 2019, submitted an offer to undertake new tours to Syria in 2022.
The German radio pointed out that tourist visas to Syria have been available for group trips since 2018, as a number of tour operators in China and Russia announced earlier trips to Syria, where the Chinese company "Yang Pioneer Tours" is preparing for trips to Syria next year after a while.
