The apartment building in Berglern, which the community is building on Bürgermeister-Strobl-Straße, is intended to accommodate families with smaller budgets. Six apartments, all barrier-free, one even wheelchair-accessible, with different sizes and layouts from 43 to 90 square meters, are planned there. There are a total of 934 square meters of living space. The groundbreaking ceremony and the laying of the foundation stone fell victim to the pandemic, but the topping-out ceremony could now be celebrated with dignity.
It is well known that the planning was a bit bumpy. Mayor Anton Scherer could not omit this in his address, mainly because the neighbors had come: “Good neighborhood starts with the planning of the project.” The project has a volume of two million euros, the government of Upper Bavaria has 840,000 euros Grant granted so that rents can be kept low.
The guests included former mayor and honorary citizen Herbert Knur, during whose term of office the property was acquired.
But Scherer also mentioned his immediate predecessor Simon Oberhofer, under whose leadership the concrete planning was started.
It was an opportunity to thank everyone involved, and the mayor did so in detail to then emphasize: “The schedule and budget have been adhered to so far.” That is not a matter of course.
The construction should be tight by the onset of winter.
“The windows have been ordered, cellar doors are being installed.” The house connections for sewer and water are to be set up this month.
The electrician work could even start earlier than planned.
The interior work is to start in January and completion is scheduled for autumn 2022.
The master carpenter Nikolaus Hintermaier gave the topping-out speech, but he wanted to keep it short: it wasn't far from the construction site to the inn, which was where the official act went.
