District - Most of the children and young people from Burgrain spent the summer at home. Corona discouraged family travel. Streetwork Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in consultation with the young people, offered various activities to make their free time fun and eventful. One of the highlights was trips to the Gmünder Hof, a social farming project run by the Brücke Oberland eV, the organization responsible for mobile youth social work. The street work / mobile youth social work is financed by the Office for Youth and Family Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Participants were made familiar with animal care.
They saw sheep, chickens and rabbits in their natural environment and had a lot of fun.
Lighting a campfire and sitting comfortably together with a stick in hand, at the end of which is sticking delicious, homemade stick bread and corn on the cob on the grill, counted as the grand finale of the event.
But hikes to flee the cows and a short mountain tour also filled the free time.
A welcome change was the bathing fun in the Kainzenbad, combined with swimming training.
The participants were able to test their manual skills on the sewing machine while sewing a pennant chain, and boys also took the opportunity.
Spicing up used T-shirts was particularly popular with the girls.
Music and dancing were not neglected either.
The combination of mobile phone and JBL Box is enough to dance to Tik Tok videos outdoors.
Street worker Ms. Stacklies knows from experience that cooking at JuBu (Burgrain youth club) is very popular with young people.
