Investigation file regarding the attack on a Jew in Jerusalem by a closed terrorist, the "Honno" organization filed an appeal to the State Attorney's Office - and was rejected • The grounds for rejection read: : "The hallucinatory and shocking omission, a free-roaming terrorist"

Despite the documentation, the Jerusalem police closed an investigation file dealing with the stabbing of a student by an Arab, on the grounds of an "unknown criminal":

an appeal filed by the "Honno" organization to the State Attorney's Office was rejected.

The stabbing incident took place last February, in the area of Salah a-Din Street in East Jerusalem - not far from the District Court and the Ministry of Justice, while the ultra-Orthodox student was walking down the street at noon.

According to the complaint, a young Arab man clung to the hippo, began cursing and pushing him and then pulled out a Japanese knife.

The two struggled, the hippo was injured in the hand and the attacker fled the scene.

Police forces who arrived at the scene began searching for the suspect.

The entire incident was recorded on security cameras on the street, including the route of the stabber's escape, and despite this, the police were unable to locate the suspect in the act and only two weeks later closed the case.

The student's lawyer, Adv. Bleicher of the Honno organization, appealed this decision to the State Attorney's Office, claiming that the closure of the case is a failure, since this is a serious case in which a terrorist attacked a Jew with a knife and therefore poses a danger to Israeli citizens' security.

The appeal was rejected and the reasons for the rejection were as follows: "No basis was found to intervene in the decision. The appellant's complaint does not contain any identifying details about the suspect. Investigative actions that have the potential to yield evidence for the exposure of a suspect, the closing of the case is justified. "

The police responded: "Immediately upon receiving the report from the police about an assault incident, searches were conducted to locate the suspect in the act and an investigation was opened. It is up to the police to locate the suspect in this case and therefore it was decided to close the case. We will work to exhaust the law with him. "

Advocate Bleicher: "This is a hallucinatory and shocking omission.

A stabbing terrorist roams free and now the police are not even trying to reach him.

"An antisemitic terrorist who walks around with a knife in his pocket and does not hesitate to pull it out and harm Jews can continue his life as usual."
