The situation in eastern Ukraine is getting worse, but any provocation by the Kiev authorities to resolve the situation in Donbas by force - will be suppressed with a heavy hand.
This was stated today (Thursday) by the Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gersimov at a briefing by the army and annexes of foreign countries.
"The supply of helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft to Ukraine, pushes the Ukrainian authorities to take drastic and dangerous measures. Kiev does not comply with the Minsk agreements. As a result, the already tense situation in the east of the country - worsens," said Gersimov.
He stressed that "any provocation by the Ukrainian authorities to solve Donbas' problems by force - will be suppressed."
At the same time, Gersimov noted that the information about the alleged Russian invasion of Ukraine is false and that military activities carried out in Russia's sovereign territory do not require any prior notice or warning to any outside party.
NATO countries pay close attention to the movement of military forces in Russia's territory.
Redeployment of units during combat training is a routine practice in every country.
In addition, the information circulating in the media about the alleged Russian invasion of Ukraine is false, "he said.
