Maccabi Tel Aviv is in the midst of a major crisis.
The 85:74 loss tonight (Thursday) to Onyx Kazan was the fifth loss in the last six games, and for the first time in a long time Maccabi loses its positive balance (7: 7).
In the first half, the Yellows still played good offensive basketball and went down to the break with a 43:43 tie.
In the second half the Yellows lost all direction.
They scored just 31 points and failed to stop Lorenzo Brown (26), Isaiah Cannon (18) and Mario Hazonia (14) who scored in almost every attack.
Maccabi got used to the fact that Scotty Wilbkin is the almost-only solution in the attack, and it cost her dearly again.
The yellow guard scored 5 of 15 from the field and mostly missed most of the shots in the last minutes.
Except for him none of the other players rose.
The loss to Kazan connects to the recent chain of losses and also to the defeat in Ness Ziona earlier this week.
Angry fans expressed their anger at the contempt for coach Yannis Sapropoulos and possibly for the players.
The Yellows do not have time to lower their heads because a double week awaits them with a pair of difficult Euroleague games - on Tuesday away against Fenerbahce (defeated Zenit St. Petersburg 80:86 away) and on Thursday at home against Euroleague champion Andulo Zero (lost 83:71 to Bayern Munich ).
