The head of the Iranian Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, Kamal Kharazi, called on the international community to put pressure on the forces of aggression against Yemen in order to lift the siege on Yemen, a ceasefire and expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people.
The Iranian Fars news agency quoted Kharazi as saying today, "The war in Yemen has resulted in massive destruction and heavy losses in lives and property over more than six years and has reached a sensitive stage, and it is time for the international community to exert pressure alongside the efforts of the United Nations and regional players to end the siege imposed on Yemen, a ceasefire, an expedited delivery of food and medicine, and an end to the suffering of its people.
Kharazi reiterated his country's standing by the Yemeni people and providing them with all support and assistance in this field.
