The plastic artist, Nagham Adnan Nasr, tried to reflect in her first solo exhibition pictures of human cases from the tragedies of the war on our country.
The exhibition, which opened this evening in the Zoom Hall for cultural and artistic activities in the city of As-Suwayda, included thirty artworks that were occupied with engraving, printing and oil painting techniques.
Nasr explained in a statement to SANA reporter that she used the expressive method to be able to express the subject by employing lines and color spaces, noting that 25 paintings she worked with techniques of engraving, woodblock printing, metal techniques, and silk printing, telling about the tragedies of wars, in addition to five works on the effects of destruction with a special experience in which she incorporated graphics. Head of the Fine Artists Union branch in As-Suwayda, artist Hamad Azzam pointed out that the artist was successful in her collection of works with the topics she presented, noting Nasr’s renewal experience by trying to give colors on printing and engraving that comes in black and white and printing with oil colors.
The plastic artist Nidal Khweis pointed out that Nasr's works are surprising and renewal, and that they are vibrant and movement works, and that there is a serious search that resulted from an understanding of the desired goals with a close touch to simulate the expressive school and used different styles with the art of graphics, engraving, printing, photography and trying to synthesize techniques.
The artist, Nagham Nasr, was born in As-Suwayda in 1998, and from the Second College of Fine Arts, Damascus University branch, specializing in graphic engraving and printing.
