A strong northeast monsoon is affecting the coastal areas of South China, and the weather in this area will become significantly cooler.
At 5 am, the strong typhoon Rey gathered about 470 kilometers south of Manila and is expected to move westward at a speed of about 28 kilometers per hour, crossing the Philippines and entering the southern part of the South China Sea.

At first there was a light rain or two, there was sunshine during part of the day, and the highest temperature was about 23 degrees.
Later, it became significantly cooler. The lowest temperature in the urban area at night was about 17 degrees, and it was a few degrees lower in the New Territories.

The Transport Department stated that the entire line of Repulse Bay Road (in the round-trip direction) near Yingwan Garden Shopping Centre has been closed due to a collapsed tree. Motorists are advised to consider changing to other roads, as the traffic on the site is currently heavy.
