Euro jackpot cracked: German lottery player secures 73.7 million euros

73.7 million euros: A lottery player from North Rhine-Westphalia cleared the Eurojackpot and made himself an early Christmas present.

Helsinki - The Eurojackpot was cracked and goes to Germany.

As Westlotto announced on Friday evening after the draw in Helsinki, a player from North Rhine-Westphalia correctly guessed all the numbers - and won around 73.7 million euros.

Eurojackpot: The main prize is not going to Germany for the first time

Fortunately, the numbers: 6, 8, 16, 44 and 50 as well as the two additional numbers 1 and 10. The exact profit: 73,720,055 euros. The chance of winning is 1:95 million. As the lottery continues, it is the 16th jackpot hit this year. In addition to the main winner, a lottery player from Lower Saxony was also able to look forward to a large prize. In prize class 2 (five correct winning numbers plus one correct euro number) there were around 715,000 euros. Players from Norway, Denmark and Croatia also secured this amount in prize class 2.

The Eurojackpot went to Germany several times this year.

In September 49 million euros went to Bavaria *, a month later 33 million to Hanover *.

A mother of two from Potsdam received 48 million euros from *.

The Eurojackpot has existed since 2012. Players from 18 countries type their numbers for up to 90 million euros.

The absolute main prize, i.e. 90 million euros, went to a player from North Rhine-Westphalia in January 2021.

In the next drawing on Christmas Eve, ten million euros are in the jackpot.
