A traffic accident occurred in Yau Ma Tei.
At nearly 2:30 this (20th) morning, a van was travelling westward along Waterloo Road.
On the way to No. 42 Waterloo Road near the Yau Ma Tei Fire Station, he lost control and shook the iron railings of the pavement. Several bicycles, fire hydrants and electric boxes along the road were swept away. The left front wheel also flew off.
After the accident, there was smoke at the scene. Witnesses pointed out that several people were injured and trapped in the car. However, when the rescuers arrived, the car was empty, and the driver and others did not know what to do.
The police are tracing the whereabouts of the persons involved and investigating the cause of the accident.
