Betty White died this Friday at the age of 99 and, after the news was known, the tributes began to flood social networks.

The president reacted to the news of Betty White's passing at age 99, just weeks before her 100th birthday.
"Betty White made generations of Americans smile. She is a cultural icon that we will greatly miss."
"It's a shame, she was a lovely woman," Biden told reporters in Wilmington, Delaware.
"Ninety-nine years old, that's amazing. My mother would say that God loves her."
First Lady Jill Biden added: "Who doesn't love Betty White. We are so saddened by her death."

The actor tweeted that White "was great at defying expectations" and "managed to get old, and somehow not old enough."
Reynolds and White starred in the 2009 movie "The Proposal," and Reynolds has publicly referred to her as his "ex-girlfriend" ever since.
The iconic actress responded in an interview with People: "I heard Ryan can't get over what he had with me, but Robert Redford is the one."
Reynolds responded with a tweet, joking: "I'm absolutely fed up with the media exploiting past relationships just to generate clicks."
Reynolds will appear at a special film event next month to commemorate what would have been White's 100th birthday.
Comedian Ellen DeGeneres honored Betty White in a tweet, saying that she is "grateful for every second" she was able to share with the "The Golden Girls" actress.
