Aspach – Andrea Berg was born on January 28, 1966 in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia.

Her acting and stage talent did not remain undiscovered for long, as Andrea Berg was passionately enthusiastic about the Rhenish carnival.

The performer, who used to appear under her birth name Andreazellen, was mainly active as Funkenmariechen.

After marrying the hotelier Ulrich Ferber, she adopted his name pro forma, but continues to appear under her stage name Andrea Berg.

She lives with her husband in Aspach, Baden-Württemberg, a municipality in the Rems-Murr district.

The place has around 8,500 inhabitants.

Despite her obvious stage talent, pop singer Andrea Berg preferred to first take up a profession outside of the show industry. Her CV shows her as a trained doctor's assistant who specifically looked after cancer patients. The first album flops

In 1992, the foundation for her "stardom" was laid when music producer Eugen Römer accidentally came across a tape cassette with songs by Andrea Berg.

Römer was very taken with Berg's voice and decided to sign her.

The result of the collaboration was Andrea Berg's debut album "Du bist frei" (1992).

Despite some advance praise, the long player fell short of expectations.

Commercial success only came with the second album "Feelings" (1995).

Andrea Berg's second biggest hit is the similarly knitted song "You lied to me a thousand times".

The song was released in 2001 and is part of the album "Where is paradise?".

Andreas Berg's resolute answer: "Am Kilimanjaro", whereby this number, an escapist trip to Africa, also matured into a classic despite the unusual subject.

Caught between fantasy and reality

In most cases, however, the most successful titles are those that Andrea Berg oscillate between love madness and love.

Pop singer Andrea Berg lives with her family in a small town in southern Germany.

Aspach in Baden-Württemberg served as a home and place of refuge for Berg and her second husband, Ulrich Ferber.

Andrea Berg is regularly involved in the operation of the hotel complex.

Between 2002 and 2004, Andrea Berg was in a relationship or married to her singing colleague Olaf Henning.
