Five people were arrested for theft and drug trafficking in Ashrafieh Sahnaya

Members of the Ashrafieh Sahnaya Police Department in Rif Dimashq arrested five people for stealing and distributing hashish.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement, “As part of the follow-up to dealers and promoters of narcotic substances, and as a result of the follow-up and monitoring, the Ashrafieh Sahnaya police station in the Damascus countryside was able to arrest five people, some of whom are school students who were promoting the drug hashish, where one kilogram of the mentioned substance was confiscated and investigated.” They confessed to having committed several robberies and robbed women’s bags and mobile phones from passers-by on the public street.”

The ministry indicated that part of the stolen items have been recovered and assets have been handed over to their owners, while those arrested will be presented to the competent judiciary.
