Serious road accident in the Western Galilee:
A 20-year-old was killed in an accident between two private vehicles on Road 899 near the Yaara junction.
The driver of the offending vehicle, a resident of Zira in his 20s, left the scene of the accident and was later arrested.
Two 21-year-olds were also injured, one seriously and the other moderately.
After the accident, the police opened an investigation and located the offending driver.
The three casualties arrived at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya during the night.
The 20-year-old, a resident of Kibbutz Adamit, was brought in with a multi-system injury and after prolonged resuscitation attempts, she was pronounced dead.

In addition, a 21-year-old man from Kibbutz Ayalon, who was brought in critical condition and was also being resuscitated, was taken to hospital in intensive care, where his condition is defined as serious and critical.
A third young man, also 21 years old from Kibbutz Ayalon, who was brought in fair condition, was admitted to the operating room after which he was transferred to hospital in a surgical ward, in fair and stable condition.
MDA paramedic Adrian Okampo said: "When we arrived at the scene we saw two crushed vehicles, one was upside down as a result of the accident, in one of the vehicles three young men who were in the vehicle were traveling and one was lying outside the vehicle."
