A policewoman who was sexually harassed by the commander of a police station where she served during the fifth month of her pregnancy, was recognized as disabled by the Ministry of Defense and will begin receiving rehabilitative treatment.

"He told me he had a fantasy of having sex with a woman in the fifth month of her pregnancy," she said.

The policewoman served under the command of a commander of one of the police stations in the south of the country.

In her affidavit, filed by Adv. Eli Saban, she said that upon arriving at the station, he began sending her text messages of a standard nature, but she did not feel comfortable with the fact that he was sending her messages to the private phone. But her commander did not let her go and continued to harass her with intimate remarks - while she was pregnant.

"My sexual fantasy is to have sex with a pregnant woman in her fifth month," he wrote, to which she replied, "Is that how a commander is supposed to behave?"

To this he replied: "No, but it's me and me like that."

She said that due to her refusal to comply with his advances, the officer harnessed her direct commander and together they began to set her tasks, while shouting and humiliating, until she began to experience strong pressure and palpitations, trembling all over her body and burst into tears.

A doctor who examined her concluded that it was an anxiety attack.

At one point, the policewoman shared with her husband, who reported to one of the officers at the station what his wife was experiencing.

According to her, from this point on, her commander's treatment of her worsened - and all her requests for help from more senior commanders were not answered, until she found herself at home for about three months, unable to function, lost 20 kg in three months, and suffered a suicidal tendency. For about two years she was treated at the Center for Sexual Assault Victims in her area of ​​residence, until she was forced to retire.

The therapists' tests revealed that following the harassment, the policewoman stopped trusting people, felt betrayed by everyone she knew during her service, and was left without friends.

At the same time, her functioning began to deteriorate to the point of difficulty in contacting her children and friction with her husband.

A former Ministry of Defense benefits officer recently informed a former policewoman that the anxiety-depressive disorder had been found to have occurred as a result of what she had experienced, and that she would soon be summoned to a medical committee to determine her disability.
