US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and British Secretary of State Liz Truss discussed during a telephone conversation today the developments of the situation around Ukraine.
According to a statement by the US State Department, the two ministers stressed the need for international efforts to focus on dialogue with Russia regarding mutual concerns in the field of security.
The ministry pointed out that Blinken referred to "the importance of joint action between the United States and its NATO allies and European partners in order for Russia to incur quick and difficult costs in response to any military intervention against Ukraine."
This call came in light of the unprecedented campaign of escalation and the continued dissemination of information about an alleged Russian attack on Ukraine and the NATO build-up of forces in Eastern Europe.
