Dozens of specialist doctors demonstrated tonight (Saturday) in Tel Aviv demanding the implementation of the outline for shortening the shifts in hospitals.

The demonstrators blocked the road on Ibn Gvirol Street near Rabin Square while shouting "Either shorten or resign, the Ministry of Health are liars" and "26, Horowitz will be ashamed".

The police confronted the demonstrators, and stopped the headquarters of the "Registry" organization.

Last October, the interns received the outline presented by Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz.

This, after two stormy weeks of negotiations between the representatives of the interns and the Ministry of Health and the government regarding the application of the outline also to hospitals in the center of the country, in addition to the periphery.

According to the outline agreed upon, in the first phase it will apply to the ten hospitals in the periphery, then in the hospitals in the center and finally it will apply in all departments.

The minister appointed anchors that will give certainty to the interns that the outline will indeed progress over the years and said that "by the end of 2025 we will apply all the sections".
