US sources estimate: Russia will invade Ukraine by Wednesday Israel today

CIA sources told the Telegraph: Britain that the invasion instructions had already been distributed to Russian army officers at the border. • The Ukrainian president tried to calm the winds and called on the West to stop sowing panic.


Russia could invade Ukraine by Wednesday, the Associated Press reported today.

The British Telegraph issued a similar report from a senior US intelligence agency CIA claiming that the invasion instructions had already been handed over to Russian military forces on Ukraine's eastern border.

The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zalansky, called for calm in his country and said during a short speech in which he appeared alongside senior military officials that panic should be stopped from spreading.

"If anyone has certain information that there is a danger of a Russian invasion documented Wednesday, he is welcome to present the information in his possession to us," the Ukrainian president said. 

Alongside the presidential speech, thousands marched in the capital Kiev calling on the countries of the world to prevent Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Diana, a citizen of Kiev who took part in the demonstration, told "Israel Today": "Our world, including Israel, must side with Ukraine, a democratic and peace-loving country, and stop Putin's plans."

The Russian response comes just hours before a phone call expected to take place between US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the crisis.

Earlier in the day, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the United States did not know if Putin had decided to invade Ukraine, but if it did - "We and our allies will soon impose severe economic sanctions on Russia." Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
