US President Joe Biden and his Ukrainian counterpart, Vladimir Zelensky, discussed during a phone call today the latest developments related to the Ukraine crisis.
"The two presidents agreed on the importance of continuing to pursue diplomacy and respond to Russia's military build-up on Ukraine's borders," a White House statement said, noting that Biden reiterated to Zelensky his country's commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Biden said the United States, along with its allies and partners, would respond quickly and firmly to "any new Russian aggression against Ukraine."
Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with his American counterpart, in a phone call, developments related to the Ukrainian crisis, denouncing at the same time the false information about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
