The writer and novelist Waheeb Saray El-Din's creative career and his intellectual and cognitive output formed the focus of the symposium organized by the branch of the Arab Writers Union in Sweida today in honor of his bids.

Head of the Arab Writers Union branch in Sweida, writer Wejdan Abu Mahmoud pointed out that the celebration of the writer Saray El-Din, who represents a distinguished literary and intellectual stature and one of the great novelists, is a celebration of knowledge, thought and culture, indicating that Saray El-Din presented more than 23 literary authors and worked for many years in the field of culture.

Writer and researcher Ismail al-Mulhim spoke about the novelist Saray al-Din’s literary experience and his biography, which began with the novel “The Pomegranate Village” which was published in 1965 and is the first novel issued in the governorate, indicating that in his novels he embodied reality in all its details and maintained his realistic style that fits with the artistic nature of the novel, as far away from realism as possible. harsh or declarative.

A member of the branch office of the Arab Writers Union in As-Suwayda, poet Farhan al-Khatib, touched on a number of novels written by the writer Saray al-Din, including “The Atom Talk” imbued with the idea of ​​the historical novel, pointing out that he is one of the founding generation in the contemporary Syrian novel.

The researcher, Muhammad Tarabay, pointed out that the novelist Saray El-Din was a pioneer in the historical novel, touched people's concerns in his literary works, and possessed the artistry of the fictional work.

The novelist Wahib Saray El-Din expressed in his speech his appreciation and thanks to the Writers Union for this initiative, stressing that literature will remain the magic of the statement and the creative expression of reality.

It is noteworthy that the writer Waheeb Saray El-Din has several versions in the novel, including “The Pomegranate Village”, “A Handful of Dust on the Jagjig River” and “The Man and the Dungeon” in addition to short story collections, including “The Slave” and “There is another death.”
