Seefeld – The police are warning of the increasing number of call scammers.
There are currently increasing numbers of cases in which citizens are being called by fraudsters in the Seefeld local area network.
Prizes are promised, but fees are required to be paid in order to be awarded.
The called party is instructed over the phone to pay money by bank transfer or cash transfer to an account nominated to them.
The police warns all citizens not to make this payment and to end such calls as soon as possible.
The promise of winnings, sometimes in the six-figure range, only serves to relieve those called of amounts of up to 2,000 euros.
The announced profit is fictitious and will not be paid out.
