Today, the Israeli occupation authorities refused the entry of the United Nations Commission of Inquiry to Palestine to investigate the aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip last May.
Ma'an News Agency stated that the occupation authorities announced that they would not cooperate with the investigation committee and would not allow its members to enter Palestine.
On May 27, the United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution to form an independent and permanent international commission of inquiry into the Israeli aggression and human rights violations committed in the occupied Palestinian territories since last April, and to make a recommendation to end impunity.
Since last April, the occupation has escalated its attacks on the Palestinians in the West Bank and the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948, which led to the death of tens, the wounding of thousands, and the arrest of hundreds. The martyrdom of 257 Palestinians, including 66 children, the wounding of about two thousand, and the massive destruction of Palestinian properties, homes and infrastructure.
