About 600 dental technicians and laboratories are participating in scientific days and workshops organized by the Syndicate of Nursing and Allied Health and Medical Professions over two days at Al-Assad University Hospital in Damascus.

Researches and lectures deal with a number of topics, including strategies between fixed and mobile compensation, the practical use of dental arches in cosmetic cases, color simulation between zircon and ceramic faces, the application of dental ceramics, the technique of interior coloring, and the practical application of veneers “design, waxing and finishing” in addition to a review of how to use modern techniques in a practical way .

The head of the Scientific Forum, Ratib Hareb, explained in his speech that such scientific activities contribute to raising the scientific and practical level of dental laboratory technicians, especially those at the beginning of their long practical path, pointing out the importance of using modern technology in digital compensation for the rapid development of this profession.

Engineer Radwan Mustafa, Secretary of the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, noted the efforts made by workers in this profession and their efforts, through scientific activities, to keep pace with the escalating technological development in the field of dental compensation and cooperation with institutions and scientific bodies, local and foreign, to exchange experiences and supply the field of work with renewable energy.

Yosra Mali, the head of the Syndicate of Nursing and the Health and Paramedical Professions, said that 12 health professions are affiliated with the Syndicate, including dental compensation, which compensates patients for what they have lost from their teeth, considering that the modern digital technology that is applied in our laboratories complements the work of the doctor.

And from Iraq, dental technician Daoud Salman said that he is participating for the second time in these scientific days, pointing out that Syrian dental technicians have a fingerprint everywhere they work, whether in Iraq or in other countries.

The lecturer, Anas Al-Khatib, is a trainer and lecturer in the field of dental prostheses. He indicated his constant keenness to participate in such activities in order to reach the required methodology for the mechanism of laboratory work and how to reach a satisfactory final result for both the patient and the doctor.
