Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian affirmed that his country seeks in the nuclear negotiations in Vienna a good agreement that guarantees its national interests and respects its red lines.
In a statement today, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Abdollahian stressed, during a telephone conversation with the European Union's foreign policy coordinator, Josep Borrell, the need to take a political decision from the other side, indicating that Iran was seeking a good agreement, but within the framework of national interests while taking care of its red lines in the negotiations.
Abdullahian pointed out that a final agreement can be reached and the remaining important issues resolved if the West takes a realistic approach.
Abdullahian had confirmed the day before yesterday that reaching an agreement in the Vienna talks would require a real will from the western parties.
