The city of Ramallah witnessed this evening a solidarity stand in support of the prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons.
According to the Palestinian Wafa Agency, the participants in the vigil called by the Palestinian national forces and roamed the streets of the city raised Palestinian flags and banners condemning the continuous violations of the occupation against the prisoners, calling on the international community and human rights and humanitarian institutions to intervene urgently and pressure the occupation to release them, especially the sick among them, headed by the captive Nasser Abu Hamid. His health has seriously deteriorated as a result of his cancer.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails suffer from serious health conditions, in light of deliberate medical neglect against them, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
