A US company has released spooky satellite images of the war.

Fighting around Kyiv continues.

What happened on the night of March 1st.

Kyiv - A military convoy more than 60 kilometers long is to head towards Kyiv.

This was announced by the US satellite imaging company Maxar Technologies on Monday evening, according to the AFP news agency.

The pictures were taken on Monday.

The convoy "stretches from the area around Antonov airport (about 25 kilometers from central Kiev) in the south to the area around Prybirsk in the north," AFP quoted as saying from the relevant email.

The images show dozens of vehicles lined up on roads in the Ukrainian countryside.

Some of the vehicles are "very far apart", others are "grouped in twos and threes".

Some of the images show smoke from buildings that are believed to be on fire.

Ukraine conflict: Zelenskyj calls for a flight ban for Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for a global no-fly zone for Russia over the Ukraine conflict.

He explained this on Monday evening in a video distributed on Facebook.

Ukraine war: US officials warn of Putin's troops

The US broadcaster CNN reports on a secret briefing by the US government: According to this, two unnamed officials warn that Russia could ramp up its troops and then successfully besiege Kyiv.

According to the report, however, the government under US President Joe Biden* is optimistic that the conflict can be resolved through unity in the West.

Ukraine conflict: Attacks on Kharkiv continue
