The third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine concluded today in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, amid failure to achieve Moscow's expectations from this round.

The Russian Embassy in Minsk said in a statement posted on its Telegram channel that "the third round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Belarus has ended," noting that Moscow's expectations from this round of the negotiating process have not been fulfilled, but the meetings will continue.

In turn, the Russian President's assistant head of the Russian delegation to negotiations with Ukraine, Vladimir Medinsky, said: "We discussed for a long time the issue of humanitarian corridors, which we agreed on during the previous meeting, and which did not work at all due to the failure of the Ukrainian armed forces on the ground to implement the directives of their command and administration."

Medinsky added before the conclusion of the third round of negotiations that took place in the Belovezhskaya Posha region of Belarus: "We raised this issue directly and unambiguously... We hope that the work of these corridors will eventually begin as of tomorrow, and the Ukrainian side has given us its assurances on this matter." .

Medinsky pointed out that the negotiations on the political and military aspects continued, but they are taking place in a difficult way, and it is too early to talk about anything positive. We agreed on it in principle, but the Ukrainian party took all these documents with him to study and he could not sign anything in the place.”

For his part, a member of the Russian delegation, head of the International Relations Committee in the Russian State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, announced that the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations will continue, but Russia does not justify itself with hopes that the next round will be fruitful.

Earlier today, the third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine began in the Belarusian region of Belavezhskaya-Pucha, while the first round of negotiations between the two sides was held in the Gomel region of Belarus on the 28th of last February and the second in the Belarusian region of Brest last Thursday.
